Understand the timing of how the votes come in
Since our voting tabulation results are often dependent on the data-feeds received from Broadridge, we thought it important to explain the details around when Broadridge voting files are transmitted to Computershare.
We receive data files from Broadridge at different times, depending on when the mailing took place. When you are reviewing your voting results in Proxy Watch, please keep the following information in mind:
If the mailing occurred 25 days or more before meeting date:
- voting files are transmitted daily starting 15 calendar days prior to meeting date
- files are received daily at approximately 6 pm - 7 pm EST
- If the mailing occurred less than 25 days before meeting date:
- voting files are transmitted daily starting 10 days prior to meeting date
- files are received daily at approximately 6 pm - 7 pm EST
On the 3rd calendar day prior to the meeting, Computershare begins to receive three updates a day.
The daily transmissions are updated vote files and are sent to Computershare at approximately:
- 7:30 am EST
- 9:30 am EST
- 1:30 pm EST
