Computershare Switzerland is eagerly anticipating the opportunity to collaborate with Sandoz.
At the Extraordinary General Meeting held on 15 September 2023, the intended 100% spin-off of Sandoz was approved by Novartis shareholders.
On 4 October 2023, Sandoz was officially spun-off from Novartis and listed on SIX (ticker "SDZ"). The spin-off was executed by distributing 1 Sandoz share for every 5 Novartis shares as a dividend in kind.
We provided successful support to Sandoz throughout the preparatory phase and during the spin-off process. Moving forward, we will assume responsibility for managing the share register as well as or-ganizing and conducting their general meetings. The initial General Meeting of Sandoz is scheduled to take place in spring 2024.

The purpose of the spin-off was to strategically position Novartis and Sandoz as independent listed com-panies, enabling them to capitalize on significant growth opportunities within their respective fields and focus their resources on their individual businesses and strategic priorities.
