Beginning with the underlying business drivers and objectives, this session charted One Plan’s story from conception through design, implementation and launch communications. With data and insight central to the process, learn how we used employee research commissioned from the London School of Economics to inform and validate key decisions and develop meaningful measures of success.

    Marcus has held a number of director level positions across Business Development and Client Management both in the United Kingdom and Europe over the last four years. With over 20 years’ experience in financial services, Marcus's career experience includes various senior leadership roles within share plans for both Citigroup and Morgan Stanley. Marcus is a coordinator for the Global Equity Organisation’s Spain Chapter and is a regular speaker at industry events and conferences.

    Sian Yates

    HR DIRECTOR, COMPUTERSHARE

    Sian joined Computershare in 2016 as the HR Director for the United Kingdom, Channel Islands and Ireland regions. She has over 20 years’ experience in financial services organisations and over 14 years working across the full range of HR specialisms. Sian focuses on driving strategic change and innovation in HR practice. Prior to Computershare, Sian was with Zurich Insurance for over 13 years and, more recently, worked for Conviviality Plc as their Group Reward Manager.

    AGM Season 2017: The Trends and What They Tell Us About Shareholder Expectations and Remuneration

    Across continental Europe, contention surrounding executive remuneration has increased significantly during the 2017 AGM Season. Institutional investors around the globe have expressed a wide array of expectations, making it difficult for companies to work out what is best for their shareholders. This timely session focussed on the 2017 AGM Season and shed light on solutions to some of the challenges faced by issuers regarding remuneration. We heard directly from leading authorities who specialise in shareholder engagement and corporate governance as to their takeaways on overall vote turnout, rejected and contested resolutions and significant proxy advisor recommendations and what their expectations are for the coming year.

    Matthias Nau

    Senior Account Manager, Georgeson

    Matthias joined Georgeson in January 2007 and works as Account Manager with our clients in the German-speaking market. Previously he trained with Dresdner Bank in Germany where he worked as Senior Financial Advisor for private clients and smaller companies for five years. In addition, he has worked for PBV Versicherung as a sales coach and Account Manager in Germany and gathered overseas experience at the Ministry of Economic Development in New Zealand and working in Australia.

    Ingo Speich

    Ingo joined the equity portfolio management of Union Investment in August 2004 and he is responsible for Sustainable Investments, corporate governance and active engagement. After an apprenticeship at Dresdner Bank, he studied business administration at Boston University, University of Durham, European Business School and the University of Trier. Ingo received Diplom-Kaufmann and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees and he has successfully completed the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) programme.

    Daniele joined Georgeson in 2010 and specialises in corporate governance and executive remuneration analysis. Daniele has over a decade of experience advising institutional investors and corporations on corporate governance, executive remuneration and proxy voting issues. Previously he worked as Senior Researcher at PIRC Ltd, a London-based proxy advisory firm, and at Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) and Deminor in Brussels.
