Bristol, Friday 25 September 2015: Computershare has been named a “Top Employer for Working Families” by a charity that helps working parents and carers balance their family and working lives.

Each year the organisation Working Families rewards employers that best accommodate the family lives of their staff, and this year Computershare was named amongst the Top 30 in the country.

Naz Sarkar, Chief Executive Officer at Computershare UK, said: “Families are at the heart of what Computershare does – both within the culture of our own workplaces and through the services we offer. “We’re delighted to have had our commitment to creating a healthy work-life balance amongst our staff and accommodating their home lives recognised with this prestigious award. “We’re currently looking for more people to join us at our Bristol HQ, and are committed to invest in all our employees, helping them achieve their professional goals as well as ensuring a healthy work-life balance.”

Computershare is the UK’s biggest childcare voucher provider, working with more than 14,000 employers to provide childcare vouchers to over 140,000 working parents and over 100,000 carers every month. In addition, more than 16,000 employers currently work with Computershare for an easy and convenient method of adopting family-friendly working practices through its Salary Extras systems.

“More and more employers now embrace working practices that value home life. The best employees have rounded existences, and the best employers do not force their staff to compromise their commitment to their families. “Flexible working creates happier and healthier workforces that are hardworking, committed and loyal, as well as improving engagement and increasing productivity, and it was great to have had another chance this year to share ideas and reward those organisations that empower their employees.”
